By Nola Reeds You don't have to be a Master Carpenter to do Woodworking nor do you have to be a crafts expert to create something special with wood. Before beginning, the tools of the trade are discussed with everything common like rulers to more specialized items like wing compasses. The Quality and types of wood are covered in great detail along with their best uses so that you'll understand which is most suitable for your creations. Important topics such as having a workshop and how to create one are necessary before you actually get into the last half of the book where you'll actually be building. Woodworks such as swords and desk racks are just some of the items you can create as a beginner.

It was actually perfect for him and he read the book in one go and started developing his hobby in weekends.It was well defined and explained. He made out a dog kennel and it was pretty. "Great Training Tips" By Teresa This is a great book about how to begin training your dog whether he or she is a new puppy or an older dog you've adopted. I found it very informative with some great tips. Daniela Emerson covers everything one needs to know beginning with potty training.She covers socializing your dog both inside AND outside the home. This is important because just as biting, when a dog jumps on someone they could unintentionally hurt them. Socializing is another topic she discusses as well as two different methods of training. Command training or clicker training. Next is collar and leash training concluding with training older dogs.Patience and consistency are the two most important things a person needs tohave when teaching their dog. This will make for an overall better companion and the payoff is priceless.Kelly Dievendorf did a fine job narrating this audiobook. She gave straight talk and moved right through the book. I would recommend this if you're planning to adopt a new puppy or an older dog

If you’ve never taken a dog obedience class or read other dog training books, then this is a good place to start. It covers all the basics without getting bogged down in example stories or trying to delve into doggy psychology.I am one of those life-long pet owners that has never taken a pet obedience course. Instead, I have found nuggets of useful information along in the way in books like this one. For this particular book, I like how the author distinguishes the different set of challenges an owner may have taking on a puppy versus an older dog. Since I have done both, I can attest that the challenges are indeed quite different. There are also bonuses to each, which the book explains as well.I was quite pleased to see that the book drew on consistency and patience as key in training a dog. The author also doesn’t pull any punches letting a potential dog owner know when they probably aren’t ready for a pet. We’ve all known adults who were not in a place (emotionally, mentally, physically) to properly care for a pet and some of us have probably been there. So kudos for the author for not shying away from saying it. If you are looking for a dog training book for kids or for adults new to the idea of pet ownership, this is a great place to start.The Narration: Kelly Dievendorf was a good voice for this book. She had a clear voice that you could easily imagine belonging to an experienced pet trainer.

I've been particular on every little thing about my pets. I know they deserve a good life as it's my responsibility as their master. Lately, I've noticed one of my two dogs behave differently. I'm concerned what may be the reasons for their unusual behavior.I have understood now through reading the training I found right in this book. Aside from correcting their behavior I got more tips to train them. It makes it easier for me to take care of my dogs. They are learning the basics now. Hopefully moving to an advance training soon.

10 of 10 people found the following review helpful. Charming Designs...Awful Paper By Lisa Cobler The designs in this book are some of the most charming and creative I have seen. However that doesn't make up for the poor quality of the paper. The designs are printed on one side of the paper which is point in its favor and it is easy to print copies onto my own cardstock. That said the cost of the book is much to high when I add to it the expense of buying my own paper and ink.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. I really wanted to love this book By Mary I really wanted to love this book!! I love love love houses and I love fairies! The beginning and end of the book is filled with ads which is a little strange. I had seen some preview pictures that Dawn (the artist) had made available on a facebook coloring group. I loved those so when I saw the book available I had to get it! I absolutely love about 2/3 of the pictures but the other 1/3 were a little strange to me with too many shadows and weird detailings. It is still worth it to get it just for the 2/3 of the book that I like. They are single sided and the paper quality is basic like usual. Love her work I just wish she would have gotten rid of some of the dark shadows in some of the pictures! And if she makes any more books I hope she gets rid of the ads!

A Happy Colorist book review By Amazon Customer A Happy Colorist book review.A few days a dear friend sent me a copy of Big Kids Coloring Book, Fairy Houses and Doors volume 1 and 2 by Dawn D. Boyer, PH.D. I kept the copy of the book for wet medium and gave the dry medium book to my 9 yr. Old grand-daughter. And I must say we are enjoying them both immensely. Dawn's detail and her portrayal of her imagination in her drawings is amazing, it is so hard for either of us to decide which picture to work on next. They are all awesome and truly fun to color. The only limits to doing these books, is our lack of imagination, as the coloring books, have too many, wonderful possibilities. Would I buy more of Dawn's coloring books? In a nan o-second. They all equal, fun, and relaxation all rolled into one, the only thing I can find wrong with them, is a big fat nothing..* smile*, and I am truly going to try and collect all her coloring books. Rate 5 stars

I was missing the characters from the first 2 book's and thought this would help. Nope. What I'd really like is a third book not a short. I wouldn't recommend this story but I would recommend the first 2 book, and everything else written by this author.

I really did enjoy this series and I would love to see it continue and see what happens. How they rebuild. Maybe find out the information of what came to get them and how to prevent it from coming back. There's been so much trauma it would be great to see life coming back. I've always wondered what would happen if the world ended and there were survivors. How would they ban together. How would they have the will to go on. I was sad to lose Judy in the second book but I understood it. Great story. I'm going to look for another from this author.

I really hate writing reviews since school but I do love to read! I'm not overly crazy about books having sequels because the sequels are not usually as good, but...this one was an exception! I really enjoyed the 3. Another reason to enjoy them is they are free. If you are a Prime Member there are a lot of books on Kindle Unlimited that you can read for free. It's like going to the library!

By Norma Sabolevski (stonycritters@hotmail.com) For those of you who couldn't get enough of "The Art of Painting Animals on Rocks" this book is the answer. After painting most of the animals in the first book, I wondered about the best way to paint a skunk, squirrel, or wolf...and here they are in this book! There are especially good step-by-step instructions for painting bears, cougars, tigers, lions, and wolves. When I sell my rocks at craft fairs, I can never have too many frogs or mice! All three of the author's books have been a great inspiration to me, and I highly recommend this one if you are looking for more animal painting ideas.

By Kimberly Bennetto I had been interested in Lin Wellford's books for a long time, but never really painted an animal rock. I bought this book, ready to try it. First I did a frog, which was very simple.The furry animals use a script liner, and that is not my favorite paint brush, so I was a little nervous that I couldn't achieve the fur strokes.I went ahead and tried a squirrel, and I was so surprised at how easy the fur turned out to be. I've painted a few more animals since then, and they are very easy to do. Very watery paint and a #1 script liner (the shorter one) makes it very easy.If you are looking to start painting rocks, don't hesitate...this is the perfect book! I would recommend it to everyone who is interest in painting!

This book, Painting More Animals on Rocks, is the second 'animal on rocks' book. I really hope she comes out with more because these books are great!Painting More animals on Rocks shows you how to make very cute mice, bears, wolves, wild cats, penguins, cows, and so much more. Your rock creatures nearly look real when you are finished painting them. I made some frogs for my flower garden, a few mice, and a penguin so far.Even if you have never painted before, you can do these projects. The book has full color, nearly step by step photos with the step by step instructions. I just love it.

This book comprises of tips for indoor gardening for beginners. It is also relevant for outdoor gardening. Since I lost my outdoor garden due to pests, I really found the section on pests informative. Callaway explains how to identify the pests, what they eat and what you can do to prevent. My hydroponics efforts failed due to lack of light more than likely. The section listed in this book on lighting is essential for any indoor gardner. I also found the section on soul mixes to be helpful. I have a few plants that I will be repotting based off of the soil mix recipes. I look forward to seeing healthier plants.

By LHarrison Thank you Sarah for writing this book as I have tried everything to get my indoor garden going and have failed miserably in the past. Now by reading your book I think I have figured out my problems and how to remedy them. You truly covered all the bases from location to containers to plant selection to fertilization & watering and finally to pruning, this is the ultimate step by step guide and I am so glad that I found it. I will be passing this book onto my friends and family and highly recommend it to everyone that is trying to grow or even thinking about growing an indoor garden, this is the book you need!!

I never have green fingers so I feel this book will help me.. In the first part of the book , the author helps me to understand more about indoor gardening. I also understand about how to design, prepare and maintain the garden.I like the tips on keeping garden pests away and will try the tips soon.While this is not really a thick book, it provides the information in a logical manner. I can see that the author has done much research in order to present accurate and useful information.
