6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. a wealth of natural hair help By Rachel Horon Shampoo manufacturers make money selling hair care products that promote natural ingredients and essences, but they are hiding in the list of ingredients that also include chemicals that are difficult to pronounce. Beautiful hair can be treated with the DIY products in the book DIY shampoo recipes. I'd rather not use something that can be harmful or irritating, so I looked forward to trying these recipes. Many I could do right away with items in my pantry. The basic honey shampoo is terrific for daily use and feels good. The combinations of many of these natural cleaners are pleasant to the smell and makes it wonderful in the warmth of the shower. There are many options for a variety of hair types including color-treated hair. The author is smart to note that good hair is more than the surface, but that it also comes from within due to a healthy diet and plenty of water. I also appreciate storage suggestions and shelf life as these fresh ingredients will not last as long as the chemicals in most shampoos.

It does not contain instructions on how to make natural shampoo from scratch. Also and more important, the title suggests that there is information on hair conditioners and there is absolutely none! All the book is about is adding questionable food and other "natural" ingredients to shampoo base.

About the Author Robert Ervin Howard (January 22, 1906 – June 11, 1936) was an American author who wrote pulp fiction in a diverse range of genres. He is well known for his character Conan the Barbarian and is regarded as the father of the sword and sorcery subgenre. Howard was born and raised in the state of Texas. He spent most of his life in the town of Cross Plains with some time spent in nearby Brownwood.

Good, exciting original Conan Story by the Master By A Customer This edition of "Jewels of Gwahlur," well illustrated by Dean Morrissey, is part of a wonderful series published by Donald M. Grant of deluxe, hardcover editions of Robert E. Howard's original Conan stories. The present volume includes the title story, which first appeared in "Weird Tales" in 1935, and the story fragment titled "Snout in the Dark" which first saw print in 1969 in a rewritten version in the paperback "Conan of Cimmeria" (part of that Lancer series that first introduced so many, me included, to the works of REH). In "Jewels of Gwahlur," a good, exciting story, Conan is a mercenary soldier in Keshan searching for the "Teeth of Gwahlur," the treasure of the lost city of Alkmeenon. Conan fights and overcomes several perils, both natural and supernatural, and in the end finds that some things are more valuable that a casket of jewels. Pretty smart guy, that Conan. I certainly hope that Donald M. Grant has some more Conan books in the works, 11 have been printed so far which means that about 2 or 3 would complete the set. Hopefully someone will also reprint the original stories in paperback (without the "pastiches," thank you) so that a whole new generation of young readers will have a chance to read this great stuff. It is incredible to think that REH's Conan stories have been out of print in paperback for almost twenty years while all kind of modern hack produces one poorly written ripoff novel after another.

That may have been some of the reason why I enjoyed it so much; it told a story that didn't take 5 books and thousands of pages. This is the first Conan that I've read but it won't be the last. Very enjoyable!

From the Author Hi readers! My first novel, DRO2WN (pronounced drown), is a dreamy work of metaphysical fiction. My second novel was a zombie-blood-fest titled The Unlikely Event. Not surprisingly, zombies far outsold speculative lit-fic. Sell-out? Debatable. Sucker for zombies? Definitely. I've been working on my third novel, Idempotency, for several years now. It's written in my favorite genre of science fiction, so it's especially important to me that I get it right. Hopefully I have. I started writing Idempotency way back in 2010. Later that same year I also began working at Amazon.com. The wealth of talented individuals building the future around me served as a fantastic muse as I set about to create a technologically advanced fictional future one-hundred years from today. More than any other technical advancement, our eventual ability to drastically extend life expectancies will change humanity as we know it. The manuscript for Idempotency went through more twists than the plot within its pages. Writing it was exhilirating and exhausting. If you enjoy reading it even a fraction as much I did writing it, then I've done my job. Fingers crossed. Kindle Scout Team: When did you decide to become a writer? Josh: I wrote my first book in first-grade, it was a horror novel involving ghosts. It was only mildly gory. In college I was constantly jotting down anecdotes for a future book. When my friends (the same ones from first-grade) did something funny, they would ask me, "Will that make it into The Book?" Kindle Scout Team: What is the inspiration for Idempotency? Josh: Working as a Software Manager (disclosure: I work at Amazon on helping indie authors publish their books!) I am blown away by the possibilities technology offers for the future of humanity. Kurzweil's books are my inspiration. At some point (sooner? later?) humans will live an interminably long time. This will change everything. Kindle Scout Team: What books have influenced your life the most? Josh: Fitzgerald's writing is poetic. Philip K. Dick has blown my mind many times (Ubik!). Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. The Stand by Mr. S. King. I felt betrayed by the ending of Of Mice and Men as a young boy. Anything by Clive Barker, Dan Simmons, or Poe. Norwegian Wood by Murakami. Oh, and Seuss! 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Future of Brainwashing, Not A.I By Meanwhile, Melinda Interesting tale about Mr. Wright's rather two dimensional version of the future. The story is used to showcase new technical advances as well as play up the rich 1% versus poor 99% and corporate versus underground techie. Unlike many novels that focus on hardware and software a century from now, this one is not about the growth of intelligence from artificial to sentience. This novel is actually about a system that can play a different virtual life for you a drastically faster rate - 3 days instead of over eighty years. When you remember your life and self after going through this process, then you are said to be idempotent.Our story gets off the ground when this technology is subverted for a rich man's use, and a deeply hidden radical technology group finds out and tries to combat the brainwashing of Dylan Dansby and the world.As a tech story, it was pretty good, with a good foundation in broad software knowledge. It keeps up the pace until 65% and picks back up at 85% for a big finish. The biggest problem I had, was there was little to no backstory to how the world got in the situation it was in, no clear picture of what the world really did look like other than slums and corps., and no clear financial model. While some was made to be so obvious it was a duh! moment, others were less so. The radical technical group reminded me of a older version of the lost boys. They didn't have any past successes, any current goals, only the one NRS battle. What is the deal with that? Hard to be the number one underground group if you haven't done anything.Bottom Line: This is a future story where that future is thinner, but the tech is showcased. Not a bad read, but not great. Not A.I., so don't get fooled by labels. If you like tech, you may like this, but don't expect a sophisticated plot.

By Jason P White Idempotency is a sci-fi tale whose themes will probably remind you of those found in Philip K Dick's works. It raises questions about the nature of reality and how technological advances may blur the distinction between reality and fiction. It explores the consequences of essentially ever lasting life - if you want it, and can pay for it. The characters used to tell this tale vary from a gregarious salesman to a pious business executive to an altruistic hacker covered in an animated flame tattoo. While technology features prominently, the focus is not on the tech itself (a fault I find in much of the tech heavy sci-fi out there), but the consequences of that technology. If you're looking for a thoughtful, entertaining read, give it a try.

Lots of different futures combined into something that actually doesn't seem so far fetched once you get into the book.It could still use a little editing for homonyms, but overall an interesting lively story with good transitions between scenes. I was never confused about which character I was reading about in each scene.I've read a lot of self published work from Amazon and I have to say this one was impressive!

By megan crisp This is book 4 in the knight game series, I received an arc for my honest opinion, imho I've been hooked since book 1 ghost in the graveyard.. in mother may I Rick has lost his memories because of an evil vengeful witch and a spell she had cast upon him, grateful works with right k daily to bring him back to her, this book is action packed, we see loss we feel the love it's simply amazing!!! Genevieve did an amazing job, I think as this series grows the books get better, at one point grateful has to visit her mother.. the goddess/ hectate what happens with the visit? Who dies in this book and does Rick get his memories back? All good questions, read the book and you will find the answers.. this book is not a standalone it's part 4 in the series, you need to start with book 1 ghost in the graveyard..

Oh how I loved the ending of thebook. This has been one hell of a series, I hate to see it end.But like all good series, they do have to come to an end. Thewhole series was well written, and drew you into Grateful's world. To the point you did not want it to end. In the end it all comes down to love. Rick and Grateful have loved one another since the day the met, and it did not know whatincarnation they always found each other. I think that is why I loved this series so much. Oh and just because Grateful and Ricks story ended. In the back of the Book is a seekpeak, showing who's story is next.I wont say who You just have to read the book to find out.I hope you enjoy this book as Much as I did.If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review.The Authors really like it when you do, they value your opinions too.

The author has done it again, couldn't put this book down until I was finished. What a great adventure, was so sad that this was the last book in the series. I love the way Genevieve Jack writes, it's like sitting down with an old friend and just laughing and having so much fun together, this is the feel of her writing. I highly recommend Mother May I, you won't be disappointed.
