Just as with the previous two installments (and the novella), I found Finding Faerie so difficult to put down. In this book we get to follow Karli to the realm of Faerie.I found the pacing perfect, the action plentiful, the suspense near constant, and plenty of places that made me laugh out loud. Karli and her mishaps that always have a flair of awesomeness, I tell ya. haha. She shows a ton of character growth in this book, but her funny antics remained, which I was so happy to see. It's one of the things that made me love that girl.I also loved the changes in the respective relationships Karli has with Leo and Vance. There are some pretty significant shifts and ones that leave me wondering how she'll ever choose between the two. Because I sure as heck can't. Speaking of those two, I never thought Laura Lee had been holding back on the steam until I read this book. Holy mother of sexy time scenes. I was fanning for a third of the book and damn near ready to jump in a tub of ice water to cool myself off.All in all, I freaking LOVED Finding Faerie and can't wait till the next installment comes out!#TeamSandwich

By Carter 4.0 I received an ARC of Finding Faerie and let me tell you it did not disappoint ! I eagerly devoured the book in record time as usual. I think this third installment is my favorite so far. I absolutely love Karli as a character and enjoyed some of the new challenges she faces in this book. I always love when relationship dynamics get tested and my opinion of the characters changes. I must admit I will always have a soft spot for Vance, but Leo makes me swoon !! I think I have a bit of a bad boy book crush on him. I always feel immersed in Laura's stories so much that my laundry, dishes, and kids get ignored ;) !! I did feel like the ending was fast coming and a bit of a cliff hanger, but I did not feel like the story was cut short pre maturely. Of course I can not wait for the next installment to see what happens next. Thank you Laura for writing another great book !!

It picks up with Leo and Karli heading to Ireland trying to find a way into Faerie. With this new tale, some old and new advisories appear that make you wonder what is so special about Karli. She also discovers she has more power than anyone knows. Lucky for her, Leo and Vance are there to help her on this incredible journey. And the book ends where your screaming for more! I just get so asorbed in all of her stories! I feel for Karli because how do you decided between the two amazing men really??? But I have to say I'm team Leo :) Thanks Laura for bring the characters to life again! Can't wait for the next one!

This book was a good reference to find out the exact ingredients I need to make yummy soaps :)I would recommend this book if you want a useful "cheat sheet" for the soap ingredients and to also learn why commercial soaps are harmful and making your own soap is a good alternative. Give it a try!

9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Great Blend of Romance, History, and Magic By Lesleigh J. Owen I love Egyptian mythology. I’m also a huge, unrepentant, nerdy fan of The Matrix. When the first Matrix movie occupied the theaters, so did I. Twelve times. I even, although don’t tell anyone I said so, kinda liked the Twilight series, especially the last two. Oddly enough, all of these loves collide in this book, in which the main character, Alexandra Larson, archaeologist and Egyptologist, stumbles across a race of beings on whom the ancient Egyptian divine mythologies were based. More, Lex learns she is not only one of them, but, like Neo, is The One. I’m a shameless fan of “The One” trope. How cool is it when a normal, even boring person, finds out she’s, oh, you know, the savior of the human race or something? Booyah! Finally and bizarrely, the gender dynamics between Echo Prophecy's two main characters reminded me a lot of the relationship between Bella and Edward in Twilight: arrogant and gorgeous man whom everyone wants falls madly, hopelessly, protectively in love with the shero, who cries a lot over him until they resolve their differences and have steamy sex.Farleigh’s universe is creative and interesting. It’s also educational; I learned quite a bit more about those awesomely anthropomorphic Egyptian gods. She populates it with likable and unlikable people and a few who, as in real life, are both. (Heaven knows I like me some blurring of the traditional boundaries.)Farleigh’s greatest strength, in my opinion, is her clever use of dialogue. She’s fantastic at portraying realistic patterns of speech. I like characters’ misunderstandings, slips of the tongue, and anxious stutterings; it’s a giant slice of relatable reality. My favorite character is Kat, the eighteen-year-old daughter of a shop owner. From her obsession with cute boys and her boob size to her eye rolling and use of popular slang, Kat is the quintessential straight teenager. She adds much-needed levity to balance the parts that feature violence, kidnapping, torture, and physiologically required sex. Gulp. Dominic, another character who becomes extremely important to Lex, also stole my heart. Despite the creep factor (you’ll know what I mean when you read it), had it become a love triangle among Lex, Marcus, and Dom, I would definitely have signed up for Team Dominic.I admit it: I stayed up super late to finish this book. That’s just how it is. The creative universe and the cool race of superpeople sucks you in, but the skilled dialogue and the sweet and loving relationships between people (I love the relationship between Lex and her beloved mother!) in this novel keep you riveted.

It could be because of my existing love of all things mythical related but either way I really enjoyed this book! At the beginning of the book there are maps which help you get a feel of the place when they get to Egypt. I think this was a brilliant idea as it helped the world building which was also great.Characters: 4/5I really enjoy the family dynamics Lindsey has brought to the story. When reading about Lex and her interactions with her Mom, Dad, Grandma, I felt a part of it and felt the love between them all. All her characters are lovable in their own way, even Set who is the 'bad' guy you love to hate.Plot, Writing style & Cover: 4/5Lindsey incorporated the title brilliantly in the story and the plot kept my attention. The plot is balanced, has great world building, and you can see that a lot of research has gone into the story. I felt like a smart Egyptologist! The writing is catching and the story is well put together.Lindsey has an easy writing style, the story flows and she sets a great pace.I am glad there was no cliff hanger. The ending was the perfect prelude to the next book.

Game of cat and mouse By Cindi Clubbs When I started reading the summary and saw that Echo Prophecy was about an Egyptian tomb and curse, I have to admit that I sighed. I’ve read plenty of books on Egyptian mummies and antiquities, romances and paranormal stories. Once I picked up the book and cracked the spine (ok, figuratively), though, I couldn’t put my eReader down. Alexandra, the protagonist, is a grad school student who finds herself having dreams that come true, learns that her father isn’t her biological parent, and is invited to work on one of the most exciting Egyptian expeditions all within a mind-numbingly short time frame. Poor Alexandra has gone from having a strong sense of self-identity to a dangerous game of cat and mouse with her life in danger.Author Lindsey Fairleigh has found the perfect balance of romance, intrigue, paranormal aspects, and history to entertain the reader from tragic beginning to amazing ending. Her characters are realistic and human despite the inhuman aspects of several of the characters (No spoilers!!). The deep and loving bonds between Alexandra and her family, the love/hate bond of sisters, and the maternal instincts of parents that Fairleigh centers the mysteries of Egyptian gods and goddesses around gives the reader a sense of home and familiarity. On the flip side, Fairleigh has created a magnificent legendary story that’s fun and scary to read. Excellent book!

By Aloysius This a very well written story that revolves around Mike who was trapped in the zombie world, fighting zoombies and walking dead. The scene is very well portrayed and everything feels surreal. It is a kind of story that sends chills down your spine and keep yours eyes glued to every word penned and every flip of the page sends anticipation and excitement.Disclaimer: I got a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
