"Ten-year-old Dr. Freddy Anderson is a super genius capable of using his mind in incredible ways. After he is orphaned, the president grants him land near a military base and issues an order for an admiral to keep an eye on him. Even as he is relentlessly tailed by a Navy Seal, Freddy attempts to start over with a new family. Sadly, his journey is not easy as he is bullied, shunned, and loved by few. But what his adversaries do not know is that Freddy is a determined boy with amazing healing abilities. The government thinks Freddy is a threat to national security, not only because of his gifts, but because he invents innovative devices that make him attractive to their foreign enemies. When the government becomes too involved in his affairs and steals his inventions, Freddy takes extreme measures to protect himself and his future by unveiling his latest creation. But as Freddy proceeds with his plan, he is about to discover that another race wants him—and his knowledge—even more than the humans. In this science fiction tale, a child genius becomes the pawn for beings who want nothing more than to look inside his brain and determine how he can help them annihilate humanity."

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Freddy Anderson's Home By Beth Taylor I love this book. It's very entertaining and a must read for the young adult crowd. I love Freddy, and I especially love the way the author wrote for this character. Even though Freddy is very intelligent, one can see that he still has many life lessons to learn. This is part of what makes this book such a great one to read. The aliens are great, also - especially the interaction between them. I can hardly wait to read the next book in this series, which I know will be free of spelling and grammatical errors.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. This novel is suitable and interesting for both young and old readers. By Michael Huston I thought the story captured some of the charm of the Ell Donsaii series by Laurence Dahners. It was good enough that I downloaded the next book in the series as soon as I completed this one. There will need to be at least a third book in the series, hopefully more. All the characters were likeable, even the aliens. This is the first SF novel I can recall where the government actually worked with an inventor and helped him accomplish his goals and was not in conflict with foreign governments. I don't get the spanking thing though.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Reviewing Freddy Anderson's Home By Anita I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the way he presented strategy within the characters'dialogue. I also liked the way his captors analyzed the characters' actions. I think the main drawback is the number of spelling errors in the book. That might not bother other readers but for me it took away from the story. The author really needs a spelling editor.
