Peter Bagge - or at least Crumb seems to think so, since he turned his anthology comic, Weirdo, over to Bagge, who was just at the start of his career. Bagge is an amazing comic artist, with razor-sharp and laser-tight observations of the "sufferin' bastards" of America. He has longed deserved a book that explores his angles and aspects as an artist, satirist and empathetic soul. And here it is. Editor Worcester has gathered essays with real substance, not the usual fannish drool. Worth getting and reading.

Really recommended for Bagge acolytes By Arlo Scout An overdue, skillfully compiled collection that really reflects Peter Bagge's very eclectic output. There's something endlessly fascinating about Bagge's body of work and Kent Worcester is to be commended for pulling this all together. Really recommended for Bagge acolytes, comix fans, or those interested in getting to know Peter Bagge.
