It was much longer than the first book which I thought was interesting, but it was much slower that the first. Granted, there were quite a few new characters added in the second book and I really enjoyed them. They added a lot to the story and to what Scarlet had to work through as herself and as Nightfall. But there seemed to be a lot less action and the story developed much slower. Honestly, the most interesting part of the book was probably the last third of the book. Because there was more action and we finally started learning things about the family that Scarlet grew to become a part of and things regarding Nightfall. Like I said, it was a good book and I really enjoyed it, but it was much slower than the first. That is the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5.

He was perfect for her and they had to take him away. My eyes are still puffy. I can't wait for the third book!**Update**I have now re read this book after it was revised.I hadn't even realized i had reviewed the book the first time I read this. And I'm writing this with puffy eyes once again. I'm grieving the death of a fictional character no less. He had so much potential, we still had so much to learn from him!Such an amazing person, I'm in denial. I can't believe I'll never read about him again...The book in my opinion was such a roller coaster, she has someone she can rely on now, someone she can be herself with. Star and Nightfall. I love their relationship!I'll be waiting in anticipation for the rest of the books to come out!

By Derek Adams Well Karpov Kinrade has out done themselves with the new revised editions of the Nightfall Chronicles! I just finished House of Ravens, and having read the previous versions can only say I am just that much more excited for the next books in this series!House of Ravens combines the right amount of intrigue, betrayal, action, and romance to keep you on the edge of your seat till the end and leave you begging for more when your finished! As you follow the heroine Scarlett Night through her victory's and losses, triumphs and failures in her double lives, attempting a revolution while trying to unite the world in peace! Can she truly succeed this coup without open war, is a question even Nightfall cannot answer while there are still unknown players involved, in this dangerous game of strategy and life and death! I for one cannot wait to find out and neither will you if you start this series and live with these characters even for a moment!
