3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. All the feels are still there By Page I love Chloe and Derek! The Darkest Powers trilogy is still my favorite out of all the YAs I've ever read. Being able to experience another adventure with them was amazing. I've always felt like pacing of the trilogy was too fast with no enough time passing. So, having now read this story a few years into the future I just love it.I thought this was an interesting story and I really liked the quick glimpse back into the world. I'm glad it focused on the Edison group kids more so than the Salmon Creek, because I still would have preferred more Darkest Powers books over the entire Darkness Rising trilogy ... but I digress.I loved this novella as much as I have loved all the novellas that have came out. This is a close second behind Becoming because Derek's POV is always going to be my favorite.Excellent read. Still want more, will always want more.

That series was my introduction to the universe created by Kelley Armstrong, who became and still is one of my favorite authors. I adore Chloe and Derek and I missed them. They've grown so much. Makes me happy to read them all sure of themselves and enjoying a nice life together and with some real friends. I can't wait for more!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Excellent! By S. Lacey Loved the illustrations that SubPress added to the story. This was originally done as a free novella on Kelley's website before she took it down to package it as an ebook. It's set after the two trilogies are finished.
