1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Cannot wait for Book 5 in the Series By jeffrey I got drawn into this series because the first one was free, then I immediately purchased the next three books. I love this series. Excellent characters, adventures etc.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Keep 'em coming! By Wynne There was quite a twist in the relationship between Jake and Lucy - that was very complex and full of surprises. The rest of it went along as expected. The action at the island was somewhat predictable. I have to say - I was kinda disappointed that there wasn't some kind of civilization thriving there - it kinda made me feel dark and dreary but that's OK - the book wouldn't be as believable if every thing came out in a Polly Anna finish, right? Can't wait to read more! Mr. Dayle is right about one thing - as an American reading a British authors book - he predicts that we'll have a hard time with some of the words. For me it wasn't the words - it was more the dialog - it seemed almost stiff or at times shallow - but it really did not take away from the plot and the overall feeling of the book. I do recommend this series to anyone looking for "different" in dystopian or apocalyptic type stories.
