The subtle (& not so subtle) way their painful past influenced every second, every nuance of their relationship. they are both beautiful souls put in a bad situation.

Declan and Amaia have a history that was interrupted when they were younger. Now both back in the same city, things heat up once again. Set in a corporate setting, Declan tries to win Amaia over again. She's is resistant and cautious. But will he get her back? I love the interactions between these two as well as with the parents. Being so short, this story cuts to the chase. But it does so in a way that makes sense. It didn't feel rushed or unrealistic to me. Usually I do not favor short stories but this was the exception to the rule.Job well done Ms. Terrani. This is a stand alone and does have an HEA.

By Dee Archer Jolly little Christmas treat about the adventures when Amaia returns to her old home and interviews for a job with Declan, her first love. Very entertaining watching the two old friends get reacquainted and work on past misunderstandings, pains and hurt feelings. Jealousy from a co-worker spices up the goings on as well. Sweet story, well written and interesting to read. Held my attention and provided exciting dialog exchange when Amaia stood up and took control when Gail overstepped her boundaries. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars.
