A unique read By Daniel Martini You know it's been a great book when you're disappointed that you are turning the last page.This is unlike any typical dog book I've read. As you read this tale you truly become invested in Ms Rideout's struggle to make this rascal of a pup fit into her complicated life. He is supposed to fill a void left by a deceased parent but ends up teaching her far more about herself than she ever expected.A fluid, captivating and humorous account that keeps the reader engaged from start to finish. Don't miss this gem of a book, it begs for a sequel.

You're not alone in thinking "what am I doing wrong ?" And "there most have been a mistake". Sandy captures the insecurities, dismay, optimism and triumphs in learning how to bring out the best of your little pup for their sakes and yours. Golden Boy is real, funny, honest and an example of perseverance in the face of all odds to the contrary. A highly entertaining, easy read. Highly recommended for both the novice and expert fur parent.

I greatly appreciated her humor and openness while sharing her personal story. In a world of instant gratification and perceived "perfection" Sandy's story is inspiring and refreshing! As an impending first time puppy owner I greatly appreciated her perseverance and love of the "Golden Boy" she knew existed underneath whatever ravine remnants he may have encountered :) Thank you for sharing Sandy. I can't wait to read it again and again!
