He knows he must stop Operation Down-size, but the puzzle is how? Cindy, an astronaut and a member of the 7%, joins in Christopher’s quest. Thankfully, they have help: an alien spacecraft, equipped with a highly advanced artificial intelligence created by a highly advanced alien race. Thousands of years ago, a highly advanced alien race on a mission of exploration discovered Earth. They could see, even at this early stage of development, that the human race was advancing its technology faster than it was maturing in compassion and wisdom—a combination that would one day lead to disaster. The aliens decide to intervene by implanting an altered gene code into several of the primitive females that would be passed down from one generation to the next for activation at a later time. The spacecraft was left hidden until the time was right to intervene further in order to save humans from themselves. That time has come. Together, Christopher and Cindy, utilizing the spacecraft’s advanced technologies, seek to save the world and dismantle Operation Down-size. One question remains: Can they do it in time?

11 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Great Read and Well done By Sb Wharton I normally do not read science fiction books but a friend recommended this book. I was pleasantly surprised. This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning. The book is plot driven and keeps you engaged as the characters develop the story line. The author does a good job of combining suspense and adventure that keep you engaged. The book just flows. The interaction between Chris and Cindy is dynamic and realistic. It reminded me of Hans Solo and Princess Leia in the Star Wars trilogy. And their quest to save mankind from extinction is very believable. And the added alien interaction makes this a must read book. As a teacher I would use this book in my classroom because my kids would just love it. Great Read and Well done.

New spin on ancient alien fiction By Buckeyegirl Intervention explores some of the mysteries that we in the modern world are still unable to figure out today such as how exactly the ancient Egyptians were able to construct the pyramids. This science fiction novel depicts an advanced race of aliens that stumble upon Earth and intervene when they fear that the tendency for brutality in humans and their technology will threaten the universe once they advance to space travel. They concoct a plan in order to monitor the humans and keep them from threatening life throughout the galaxies. This plan that has been in motion for thousands of years has helped determine the progress and fate of the human race and continues to today.This book is interesting because for the first portion of the book, the main focus is the alien race and how their actions affected different people on Earth. I thought that the writing was well done and engaging. The author's creativity shines through in the description of the alien technology, which I thought was very unique. The alien's plan was also something that I had never heard before, as they had a generally hands off approach in relation to the day to day lives of the humans, which is contradictory to many ancient alien fiction formats. Intervention is a page turner that will have you on the edge of your seat and wonder about the true origins of some of the world's ancient cultures.

By FriendlyReader Look, I am a big fan of science fiction novels, but at the same time, I am extremely picky when it comes to choosing what sci-fi novel to read next. I decided to give Intervention a go because the description instantly got me hooked and I felt it had a lot of potential for something great. I am very glad to say I wasn't wrong. This is the type of science fiction novel that pulls you in and makes you believe you are actually reading something real, something that could happen, something that we could all be a part of some day. The story is not only extremely captivating, but suspenseful and filled with awesome twists and turns that will make you turn page after page and lose track of time. This is what a great book does.The story is fresh, original, and the characters are well written. You'll instantly be able to relate to them as you follow their quest to save the world from an operation that would only salvage the elite 7% of the entire planet's population. Oh, did I mention that in this mission they benefit from the help of an advanced alien spaceship that was hidden on Earth by an Alien race who predicted our destructive nature would eventually make us eradicate ourselves? Do yourself a favor, if you're a fan of the genre, buy this book today, you won't regret it. It's the type of book I'd love to see a movie made out of!
