Tamed by the Bear is set in Bear Creek and can be read as a standalone story, but does contain characters from other books in the Bear Creek Clan Series When Sam meets his bonded mate, he pledges to tame her heart, not break her spirit. Tamed by the Bear is the third book in the Bear Creek Clan Series by Harmony Raines and it is 94 pages of wonderful ooey-gooey goodness. I loved it. Yes, I said series but it is NOT a serial. It is a stand alone novella and although not necessary, I would highly recommend reading all the books to enrich your reading experience. The story is exciting, fascinating, well developed, heartwarming, heart wrenching, sometimes humorous, romantic, sensual and arousing. The dialogue is smart, well written and flows effortlessly. The characters are engaging, captivating, endearing and sexy. Antonia can't believe her sister could possibly be happy in this backwater town. It's in the middle of nowhere, hardly even on a map. Yep, her sister Kayleigh must have been brainwashed or maybe it's just a massive crush. It has to be! Her sister would never willingly marry someone she had only been dating for two weeks. She ought to know because they both had vowed to never marry and never, ever have children. Neither wanted to be like their Mom. Antonia and Kayleigh both had spent their lives in foster care never knowing the love of a family. They only had each other and that's all they would ever need. Well, she would just have to talk some sense into her sister, maybe bring her back to her place in the city. And if those two yahoos at the diner were any indication of the residents of Bear Creek, well, she couldn't wait to get out of this two horse hick town. It was still hard for Sam Cartwright to believe that his little brother had found his forever mate and was getting married. Sure. He was happy for Daryl and Kayleigh, but he couldn't help but be a little jealous. He had been waiting for such a long time to find his mate. Maybe it's just not in the cards for him. He would just be happy for his brother. And no sooner was that thought leaving his mind when his mate strolled right into the diner and was almost knocked over by his brother as he was leaving after their morning breakfast together. What? Who is she and where did she come from? He has to somehow find out before it's too late but apparently the lovely curvy Antonia wants no part of him at all. Huh? She leaves before he can even get her name. What's a bear to do? Why turn to his future sister-in-law, Kayleigh for help, of course! And what does he discover? His mate is Kayleigh's older sister Antonia. What the heck? Let the hijinks begin! Oh my goodness! Can Sam convince Antonia that she is his mate or will she run when she discovers he's a bear? I don't know. No spoilers here! You'll just have to read the book! Sexy werebears-check! Beautiful curvy human mate-check! Sweet romance, instant attraction, heated chemistry, a little heartbreaking angst and a healthy dose of hot sex-you bet! That and a whole lot more! And if that's not enough, we get to see a few of the characters from Books One and Two. And.....maybe just a little spoiler.....Will's book is next! I can hardly wait for Book 4! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Antonia and Sam By Snowbunny1977 Wow...at first I didn't like Antonia. She was very cynical and kinda rude. LOL. I mean I realize they had a bad childhood but yeah...she was down right mean to poor Sam at first. She's also very forceful...almost bully like with her sister. I realize she wants to protect her but she was over stepping I think. I'm really glad Kayleigh stood up to her and made her see reason...well sort of. There were times I really liked her and times not so much. She was a runner...instead of dealing with things she ran and hid. My heart really broke sometimes for Sam because he was a great guy and she didn't always treat him nice. He did all this stuff for her and tried to be what she needed in a mate but I dunno her character left me feeling flat sometimes. He was so sweet and loving. A lot like Daryl but more outgoing a little. Once she figured things out herself and came back then it all worked out. Sam didnt make her grovel or anything and thats the kind of guy he is. :) Enjoyed the book as a whole but Antonia frustrated me to no end sometimes! Ha.

It is Sam, Daryl's brother, and Antonia, Kayleigh's sisters story. It has it's moments. There are times it is almost comical. I loved the misunderstanding and the attitude of Antonia. She is straight up skeptical and she is really not buying the fast, lovey, dovey hit the alter relationship of her sister and Daryl.She comes to town to drag Kayleigh away for the bunch of cultist and winds up being Sam's Mate. All things considered the storyline and the actionsequence is the best of the lot so far.I think you might actually find this one entertaining.
