Good series By Tiffany Picked it up as soon as it became available at midnight and finished it by dawn.If you've read the rest of the books then you'll already know it's a good continuation to the story line.If you're unfamiliar with the book then I definitely recommend picking them up in order and having a read. These are easy reads filled with grammatical errors, spelling errors, and auto correct errors. If you can get past the horrific proof reading, you'll find yourself engrossed in a good story, with well defined characters (they really don't get well defined until the second book, so the first is more like a prelude, imo), and three interesting story lines. This is sold as a survival series, which it is, but the story lines development isn't the same as other books I've read of this kind. This author takes "the event" and makes it the catalyst for defining characters instead of the focus, which is takes this book series a step beyond others I've read and gives it depth. The only thing that I shake my head at in the story telling is the amount of physical abuse the characters take only to recover perfectly, which just isn't logical. I'm pretty sure one of the main characters has had more concussions than many retired professional boxers I've know. Here are the reason I took a star off:- the proof reading errors at times are off putting and sometimes make the reader have to go back and read a paragraph several times to get its meaning. I'm a terrible speller and have never been teacher quality at Grammer or punctuation, so if the errors are evident enough that I picked them out, then they really stick out like a sore thumb.Imo, these short books should be combined, at sometime in the future, into one large book. I appreciate the author dropping chapters into separate books, as I've really looked forward to them, but leaving the stories hanging like that, it's just plain mean, so hurry up with book five already!

I totally think that the author could put 4 books into one novel, charge a little more for it (you built it, T.A. - people will come!). I dislike getting these small novellas that you can read in 90 minutes and wait once again for another small taste to arrive. I am willing to wait for a big fat novel, pay more and have a real story at hand. A beginning, a middle and an ending, then you could start on the next big book. There is a lot of violence in this series. A small 7 year old making it alone in the future world - not so much believable, and the horrific things the author puts her through are a mothers worst nightmare. and difficult to read. I do find that in these SHTF books that all women, female children are used as objects and nothing more. What happened to the female leaders of the country did they all die and that is why there are only scraggly old men and young good looking males to help run the world? I took 2 stars off for violence and grammar....and I am the worst speller in the world or so I thought. You win!
