Every turn of the road makes them question why they took the journey to begin with. This book is graphic and intense.

Getting a Bit More Far Fetched and Some Continuity Issues With Previous Stories in Series By James N Simpson Not as good as the first four novels in the series, this is easily the most unrealistic of the five stories I have read so far, especially in relation to the zombies, who were quite plausible when this series began. There's also some continuity factors such as the vehicle from the third book where it lost it's mirrors so Charles had to drive blind in one scene suddenly has mirrors again in this book when driven by its new driver. Yet there was no scene in this or the last book where they salvaged from another vehicle and attached the mirrors. There's stuff such as a car dealership that hasn't been touched even though it's just up the road from a religious cult and has a good choice of vehicle there. Surely at least that vehicle wouldn't still be there.Still overall the book was a good read, since I'm already addicted from the previous installments. I agree with another reviewer in that these character aren't as likable as the ones in the initial three books and it is getting a bit irritating reading all the whining from the main narrator. Was kind of hoping she'd get killed and one of the other characters would have to take over as the narrator. Hopefully it's just setting up for a powerful ending which I've got all lined up to read next.
