For years Jason Burke has straddled that line as best he can, always convinced that despite the violence carried out by him and his team they were firmly on the right side of that line. But as he reflects on his time with Omega Force, he begins to have his doubts. When strange happenings from the mysterious Avarian Empire cross the expanse and Jason and Omega Force is pulled into the conflict, they must pick sides between two superpowers, all without knowing whom they can trust. At every turn, friends reveal themselves to be enemies, and enemies might be friends. All he knows for certain is that if they make it through the mission things will never be as they were.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Omega Force: Redemption" is the seventh installment of the bestselling "Omega Force Series." Enjoyed reading this part as well, liked the little twist at the beginning, nice to see a more fallible side of the characters. I can only recommend the whole series, it is utterly entertaining. It kinda reminds me of Farscape, a lone human in space, a unique ship, a crew brought together by chance... but still OF is special, thanks to Mr. Dalzelles casual writer's style. It has everything you can expect from a good scifi adventure novel, action, humor, well developed lovable characters and as a plus the tech is well enough explained. I don't even mind, that it gets sometimes a little bit predictable... but hey, the good guys always have to win and the captain always gets the girls! Period.

The humor is back, though I am hoping to see alittle more in the next book. Once again I read it from cover to cover in one sitting, very addicting. I also love the black fleet series, which is more opera like which I enjoy. I do hope some of the mystery comes back with the Omega Force. There was a few times the humor made me laugh out loud in the older books.(being vague) A perfect example is when he knocks out one of his partners on the force, and it wasn't totally intentional. One of the other crew members saw it and was like............Did you? and when the one who got knocked unconscious came back around, they all 'agreed' it was one of the enemy.Fun times, never long enough but I enjoy these books. The author has a solid skill of writing in this book and the black fleet.
