This author is even more so amazing. I love her writing. It's 3rd person, but feels a lot like first. It's perfection.Stephany in this book is what left me with the 1/2 star off... she annoyed me a few times. It's strange how in the final books to each this series and the vamp one I was kind of annoyed with the lead females.Stephany was too caught up with ancient tradition in this story which is why I wanted to bi*ch slap her a few times. Although, as predicted, Ward was perfect. He's the best alpha you would ask for... talk about more heavy swooning!The story itself was great. Even though I really disliked Brant and hated Lance even more in this book. I did thoroughly like the ending. Although I would have liked to see him BITE her like they were talking about. However, we didn't get to see that, which left me a little morose.Another great book... And Ruche and his quirky personality as me ready to jump into the next of this author's series.What can I say? I'm addicted!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Loved it By A M Kavanagh I love the Vampire Kings Series. I waited to review Stolen by the Alpha until I read the complete serial. Stephany and Ward's story didn't disappoint. While I loved the first book, Zane, Brant and Tanya annoyed me as much as made me laugh. I found myself liking the supporting characters more, Stephany, Xavier, Ross and Griffin being top of the list. While Zane and Brant are smokin hot Alpha Vampires, they are also arrogant asses and not very like able, hopefully they will improve after being with Tanya. Ward I loved, a smokin hot Alpha who is easy to love. I already liked Stephany the more I got to know her the more I liked her, and that she got a HEA. Looking forward to Becky and Rushe story, they are made for each other. I hope Lance finds his true mate too.

So yes, I read this story as a stand alone. As such I didn't feel like I missed anything. Maybe I missed out on background information but it didn't impact what I got out of the story.There are so many stories on shifter pregnancies. What I enjoyed about this one is the day to day fears, the very real physical limitations, on top of it being a first pregnancy, Stephany had to adjust to being a lone vampire in a shifter pack. Of course there are adjustments and the story touches on all of them. It shows just how strong she is.SPOILERS:There were a few scenes that didn't mesh. . . One was the smex scene involving Lance. It's already been proven he's a cheat and has no honor. So why the details when he's later killed? Unless he leaves behind a child.Once the babies are born the vampires just disappear. That's hard to believe because there were serious grudges and laws broken. Added to that was the knock out fight, tear up the building, and put the wolves in prison. . . Ward said his two wolves were alive and that was as positive as he could get. From that scene we fast forward to Rushe guarding Becky. I don't think I am the only one wondering about their recovery, if the guards had any limitations . . . I mean an almost severed limb? ?? I have to assume they're both fully recovered.The long awaited mating bite is alluded to, all throughout the story. It does finally happen!! But that scene doesn't play out, at least not in this book.Meanwhile there is a teaser at the end of the story between Becky and Rushe. So the story ends on a relationship cliffhanger.So yes some good aspects and some that were lacking. - Dan's Wife
