Dead ‘Til Dawn Disturbing the dead doesn’t prove you’re brave – it proves you’re stupid. After touring Gettysburg battlefield, Jessica, Tim, and Steve decide to sneak out to the Devil’s Den for some late-night fun. Jessica’s friend Kathy objects, and warns them about trespassing where they’re not wanted. Undaunted by ghost stories and fueled by his own arrogance, Tim races toward the Devil’s Den. When the group drives through mysterious battlefield fog, they find themselves surrounded by Civil War soldiers looking for a little fun of their own. Kathy leaves the others to fend for themselves and flees to Little Round Top. Although she’s rescued by a kindhearted Union solider named Charlie, she refuses to believe that what she’s experiencing is real. As the nighttime battle rages on, Charlie introduces Kathy to other weary soldiers, and she quickly realizes she’s trapped in the land of the dead until dawn. Spend a night in the land of the dead in this 8,200-word ghost story set on the Gettysburg battlefield. Review Fallen Over Book Reviews gives Dead Til Dawn a 5 Goblet Review: "This was a good ghost story. Gave me the chills a bit and makes me not want to visit anywhere where a battle has taken place. It does make you wonder if there are ghosts out there from battles long ago who cannotmove and still live the battle every day. The author did a great jobwith descriptions and the characters. I hope the author keeps up withthe ghost stories because she does a great job with them." A World of Books gives Dead Til Dawn 4 stars! "Another great ghost story by this author. It was very dramatic and a veryinteresting read. I loved the interaction between the characters. Thesetting was very atmospheric, I thought the descriptions were great and I could see the story unfold clearly in my mind."Book-O-Craze rated it 3.5 Stars! "The way this author writes once again proved to be so smooth, witheverything being well-described, as well as the appropriate detailsbeing given in all the right moments. At first, I was a bit skeptical of the concept of ghosts, but in this story everything was described in away that didn't leave me any negative thoughts by the time I finishedthe story."

From the Author An Excerpt From Dead 'Til DawnSteve leaned forward in the back seat and tapped Tim on the shoulder. "You think we can get to the Devil's Den now? Won't they have security guards?""Who'd guard a battlefield at night? Ghosts?" Tim chuckled."The ghost stories we heard today were cool," Steve replied. "I wanted to take that ghost tour at the orphanage. They let you investigate and try to contact dead soldiers. Maybe tomorrow--""I told you, that was a rip off," Tim interrupted. "Who cares who died out here, anyway? It was over a hundred and fifty years ago. I don't know why you keep wasting your time and money on that paranormal crap. There's no such thing as ghosts. People in town made up those stories to rake in tourist money and sell costumes to idiot reenactors. If playing dress-up... Whoa!"Tim stopped the car. A wall of white mist covered the road ten feet ahead of them."Is that fog?" Jessica asked, brushing her long red hair over her shoulder."Yeah," Steve answered. "But why is it there and not anywhere else?"Kathy peered out the side window. The two-lane road was crystal clear on both sides of the car, but the line of fog blocked their path. It's waiting for us to advance. "I've got a bad feeling about this. Let's go back."Tim glared at her in the rearview mirror. "You wanna go to the hotel? Get out and start walking."

By Caterina Originally posted on Book-o-Craze: http://book-o-craze.blogspot.gr/2015/10/blurb-disturbing-dead-doesnt-prove_29.htmlThis story was kindly offered to me by the author Kelli A. Wilkins, in exchange for an honest review. This is the second short story I read, that is written from this author. That's the reason why I knew that I was going to enjoy it so much. The way this writer writes once again proved to be so smooth, with everything being well-described, as well as the appropriate details being given in all the right moments. The heroine was very likeable, something that was very enhanced and contrasted by the smart placement of a character most of us would dislike. That is also the reason why there could be a very wise lesson to be taught in the end of the story and is therefore stated right at the beginning of the blurb. The plot was quite enjoyable, and unlike most of what I've read previously! At first, I was a bit skeptical of the concept of ghosts, but in this story everything was described in a way that didn't leave me any negative thoughts by the time I finished the story. Quite the opposite, in fact. All in all, I award this short story 3.5 stars, thinking about giving ghost tales another chance in the near future!

Now I have to say this was a good ghost story By Autumn Fallen Over Book Reviews I received this book to give an honest review. Now I have to say this was a good ghost story. Gave me the chills a bit and makes me not want to visit anywhere where a battle has taken place after dark. This is a short but fully packed story that you feel full-filled. There is some cussing but nothing to major so I would suggest this book for teens to read if you are okay with the language. If not then for sure YA and above. It does make you wonder if there are ghosts out there from battles long ago who can not move and still live the battle every day. The author did a great job with descriptions and the characters. I hope the author keeps up with the ghost stories because she does a great job with them.

I felt like I was right there at this Gettysburg Battle. Great fun characters who all learn a lesson from their experience with ghosts. Disturbing the dead doesn't prove you're brave; it proves you're stupid.
