A must-read for industrial revolution scholars By Neelie McManus While a quick and easy read, it does more of a deep dive into the invention of key machine components, the who and how of getting them documented and patented, and how the industry evolved from manual art to volume production manufacturing. A huge amount of information in a small package!

There is no table of contents. Illustrations referred to in the text are not included in the Kindle version. I have Kindle for iPad, also that might e part of the problem. There are several timelines, which some may find useful. Overall, it may be a good introduction to the very beginning of the the history of sewing machines.
