By Chasmmm In the snowy mountains, a group of bandits are cut off from civilization and, with only one woman and three men, things take an expected turn. But what happens after that was really surprising to me, with interesting character development, and a strange romance between two of the bandits. I don’t know really what to think about it as it’s something so unique. It almost read like prose, which is strange since the storyline was so bleak.I’m giving it five stars for the fluid writing style, the one-of-a-kind story, and the fact that all of the characters are morally grey. I’m going to look for more from these authors…

It’s a very dark, gritty tale, told in the mountains of some cold northern land, overlooking the valley below. It follows a band of criminals as they attempt to survive in the harsh land, and just surviving requires a lot of compromised morals.Through it, the half-demon Elin is the closest thing the group has to a conscience, ironically. But even she does some highly questionable things, but it’s hard to stay mad at her…Highly recommended!

More of a kind of literary read with a lot of shades of grey and characters with a lot of depth. Following this woman through her adventures you at times hate her, at times feel bad for her, but in the end, she’s such a sympathetic character. For all she does bad, I get it. She’s a desperate woman in a rough spot, and she does what she can.There’s some twist and turns though, and you never know what’ll come from these authors.
