The writing is clear and active, and should engross readers who like fantasy. There are places where the action jumps scenes rather abruptly, but it wasn't hard to follow. I liked it, and as a result look forward to other stories to come. Can't be more complimentary than that!

By Nick J A gripe I often hear is that complicated fantasy can't work in a short story format because of the world building, but this doesn't hinder Castro's story at all. The fleshed out world and characters are apparent on this short gem, which will draw your attention in and excite you to know more about the elaborate world of Flowerantha.

The story moved at a good pace, and once again the imagery was well done. Can't wait for more! I only wish that it had been a tad longer.
