It touches on the basic chemistry but not too deeply into the science that will intimidate most people.this is what is so lacking in almost all soap making books. they tend to gloss over the science behind the soap making process as to leave the hobbiest completely ignorant on the technicalities.they don't know what to do when problem occurs because of this lack of science knowledge. these people who only rely on those simple soap making books are completely at a lost when you mention something as basic as limiting reactant.

It was written in 1922 and is a reference for mass production during that era By buzkil Look the book was written almost 100 years ago, and its pretty funny how a lot is still relevant today. The book is fine if you are interested in a deep dive into the whats/hows of soap making and how it may or may not relate to today. If you are a beginner in soap making I suggest Soap Making for Dummies.
