Welcome back to the world of ARS, a land where rats dance to the music, a place where someone who has been burned by love can find a second chance. This is the second volume in the adventures of Scott and Rhea. New characters are introduced, and lots of action and humor are present. In this volume Scott and Rhea are separated for a time due to her need to do girl elf stuff. The sorcerer, impatient to become stronger, makes a foolish decision and is forced to deal with the outcome. The somewhat odd nature of the elf maiden Rhea is explained and more of everything that made the first volume good, returns! Come, witness the spectacle! This series is part of a group of stories that feature a similar main character who lives their life inside a game setting. As such, the name 'Scott', will feature in several different series. Currently two of those stories are published. One is Origin ARS, and the other is Freelance Saga. The latter story has a bit of... monster girl related naughtiness... and is not suitable for all ages.

Same strengths and flaws as volume 1 By Jason Hornbuckle So here we are again, another installment in the ARS series.Pro's: Good idea for a book, relatively entertaining dialogue, nostalgic for video game players. The plot is moving along, albeit slowly.Con's: Awful punctuation and spelling, to the point where this reads like a first draft. Very short for a book, more like a novella. Sort of predictable. Volume 2 is starting to look more and more like wish fulfillment on the author's part since every person the protagonist befriends is a hot girl who wants to sleep with him. WAY too much time spend on grade school-level "do you like me?" back and forth, especially given the fact that the protagonist is supposed to be 30ish.Overall I like these stories but the definitely should be proofread before they're published and tbh I would be alot happier if they were 50 pages longer and didn't have so much filler. If you have the same characters have the same convo 4x in a 250 page book, its really more like a 220 page book. Typo's like calling geese "yeeshes" or something are absurdly distracting, especially when there are 5 of them a page. Just needs more work, tbh. I'd like to see Futch keep going with this but as-is it reads more like fanfiction than a finished product that people should be paying money for. Admittedly the amount of money is small but still.

Some points of improvements would be that the overall plot feels slow and lack progression not that it's a bad thing but it's like stuff you've cover in a few chapters is in fact a much much larger book and you've only starting to reveal it, then it's over. The characters have hardly travelled and things are slow to heat up. It would be great if it's done as a 500 page book where you'd have 1 story arc per book like how the move: the Lord of the rings is split into 3 seperate yet complete movies. I do however look forward to book 3. Keep it up!!

I will agree with another reviewer the sexual content of this book is very weird in a teenage awkward kind of way. Still I enjoyed the plot, the characters are growing on me and the glimpse into more of Origin's world opens up a lot of questions and possibilities for a way forward. I hope the author continues with this series and that we get more soon.Recomend for anyone who enjoyed Play to Live, Afterworld, or End Online
