6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. good classic sci-fi By punkrocker6182 this is a good classic pulp sci-fi story. well written but with a few small transcribing errors. set on mars and an asteroid, this story is about a group of people looking for pirate treasure and find alien parasites. there are twists galore that will keep you guessing until the end. very good story.

The alien species inhabiting Vesta was interesting, and the title made me imagine what the sky would look like if I were on an asteroid. But the science was terrible. It amazes me that people who want to write science fiction have such an ignorance of science. Vesta has a diameter of only about 300 miles, nowhere near large enough to retain an atmosphere. And the fact that things would weigh far less on a planet with such low gravity does not mean that you could rip a steel door off of its hinges. The romance was hopelessly adolescent.
